Second Student Learning Disabilities Nurse
You may have seen our news article last week about Jess, our student learning disabilities Nurse who is on placement with us. We are very happy to announce that we now have a second student learning disabilities nurse working with us, Kim.
Kim has worked with us before on a previous placement, but has come back to help with our project on annual learning disabilities health checks. Kim has wrote a message below:
Hello, my name is Kimberley. I am a third year student Learning Disability Nurse from Edge Hill University. I was previously based at Aughton Surgery on placement and really enjoyed my time there; luckily I have been invited back. I will be working with Maggi and Jess (another student learning disabilities nurse) on Fridays until the end of April. We will be completing annual health reviews for our patients with learning disabilities, as well as hopefully implementing ways to make healthcare more relevant and easily accessible for them. I look forward to seeing both familiar and new faces, and hope you will see some benefits as a result of our work.
