Telephone System Update
We would like to provide patients with an update with regards to the telephone system, which has been the source of frustration for many patients over the last few months.
Issues are affecting practices across West Lancashire, as well as Lancashire as a whole.
Work is ongoing behind the scenes with our telephone provider to improve the level of service. Due to the extremely high level of demand for primary care, you may receive an engaged tone during peak periods. If this occurs, we would ask all patients to consider trying again at an alternative time if possible.
If you need urgent care, try NHS 111 online (https://111.nhs.uk/) or call 111, who will be able to triage you to the correct service you need.
We apologise for the issues currently being experienced with the telephone system but please be assured the practices, along with the Clinical Commissioning Group, are working as hard as possible to improve the system as soon as practically possible.
