Mental Health Reviews
We have recently started work on a project involving our 2 Practice Nurses (Joanne, Left and Maggi, Right) and one of our Student Nurses (Liz, Middle) enabling patients with severe mental health needs to have a face to face comprehensive review. The appointment lasts at least 45 minutes, and allows patients to talk about all aspects of their physical and mental health. Reviews have been taking place at Hants Lane Clinic for the last 2 weeks, and are scheduled to carry on until all eligible patients have been offered a review.
We would like to introduce you to our Student Mental Health Nurse, Liz who has been helping us with this piece of work. She has written a short introduction below.

Liz, Student Mental Health Nurse
Hi, my name is Liz Mitchell, and I am just qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse at Edge Hill University. I am really excited to be placed at Aughton Surgery alongside Maggi and Joanne, and I am excited to provide patients with mental health needs the best person-centred care. I look forward to meeting those of you who will be offered a mental health review, we are here to help you. Please do ask for support if you or a loved one needs it, because “it’s ok not to be ok”.
We are lucky to have Liz working with us on this project, and we would like to thank her for all the hard work and time she has put in to helping support our patients.
